I don’t know about you, but I’ve come across a couple of silly stunts made by some new drivers near the area in my college. Every new academic year, you will see a lot of freshies(new student in college) driving cars with a big “P” sticker slapping on their vehicles’ windscreen. Well, not that there’s anything wrong with the “P” sticker drivers, it’s the way of how some of them act. (No offense on new drivers, just some of the black sheeps.)

Stupid stunt number one, I’ve seen people doing this twice with my very own eyes. Going downslope, both hands in the air trying to impress the girl sitting beside, like saying “look! no hands.” I’ve even seen the other one clapping his hands while his doing that. For crying out loud, that is the lamest thing I’ve ever seen, you think the girl will really impress? Come on, you are going down hill, be cautious and hold the wheel properly.

Stupid stunt number two, pulling handbrake saying “I wanna drift”. These guys must be watch too much Initial D already, and doing this stunt without proper knowledge of you are doing is really asking for trouble. I’ve heard from my friend that this one friend of his trying to act funny and pull the handbrake before he exit on a roundabout. The car spun for a while and end up with a tire puncture. Please, if you really want to learn how to drift, choose a safe open space and know what you are trying to do.

Silly antic number three, putting so-called nice bodykit on their ride. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen cars with nice airbrush art painted on their cars, and I appreciate them. But hey, there are people who don’t have the money, but still insist to modify their rides, with “Ah Beng” kind of spoilers. And then the front bumper, skirting and back bumper, each with different colors, which obviously these guys trying to buy these part one piece at a time, but end up do not have the money to spend on painting them. Not to mention they have those modified loud exhaust, not only they sound terrible, it’s creating unnecessary extra fuel consumption.

In fact, I admit I’m actually not a very good driver, as I still have a lot to learn on my distance judgment and estimation. Nevertheless, the main thing for you new drivers out there is to drive safe, responsible and think about the comfort of your passengers and their lives is in your hands.
