Paris, France

The last stop of the Europe Trip, Paris. Been always looking forward to this, although the trip is a bit short.

The Golden Gate of Versailles Palace

The first destination we headed was Versailles Palace, located in suburban area of Paris. Most notable the Golden Gate and the big garden it has.

Next, off to the Arch de Triumph, standing in the centre of Place de l’Étoile. The Arch is built to honour the warriors that fought for France, where they parade through the Arch to celebrate their victory in war.

Somehow this arch reminds me of the French movie, Taxi. With a hilarious scene where all the cars pile up with the Arch de Triumph as background.

Later we were able to get the Eiffel Tower scene right from a distance in Champ de Mars, which suppose to be like a big garden.

If my memory serves me correctly (Iron Chef?), we had our lunch and off to a mall for shopping, but I can’t seems to recall the name of it.

Honestly, shopping is not for me, while a lot of girls seems happy looking around for fragrance. After all, that’s what France famous for.

In the evening, we get to go on a boat ride on Seine River, to have a look around the city from the river. Everyone seems to have fun and enjoying themselves with the scenery, including me. We could the some of the famous bridges along the Seine River, the all famour Eiffel Tower, and even the small Statue of Liberty.

However, there is a slight disappointment. From the Seine River, you cant really see the Facade of the Notre Dame catheral (There’s a big tree in front which blocked the view. Also, since there is time constraint, can’t really get inside the cathedral to have a visit.

Sure hope I can come back to Paris again soon enough, because besides the cathedral, we didn’t have the chance to visit the Louvre Museum, where the Mona Lisa painting is.

Right after dinner, we walked some distance and head towards the Louvre Square. If you remember correctly, the scene with the glass pyramid in Da Vinci code?

Later, it was getting dark. Our tour guide took us to an exclusive spot for the Eiffel Tower. When I was up there, I feel a million dollars! It just looks so different and pretty at night. Right at that point of time, it was my happiest moment.

This is what I am waiting for!
