Multimedia Project - Honda Corporate CD
Well, this is my digital multimedia unit’s assignment, a multimedia project created using Macromedia Flash. It is a group assignment where each team should consists of 3-4 members. I myself have Ching Wei and Huay Meng as my group members. We are suppose to come up with a corparate CD of a company. In my case, I and my team members decided to do on Honda Co.
Well, before I move on, I need to clarify that I and my group members have no way affiliated with Honda Co. All the photos of the car models and logos are Honda Co. property. This is merely a college assignment, but the designs of the interface of course is done by us.

Intro Scene
Before we actually begin doing our corporate CD, we need to go through doing High Concept Document, pitching and storyboarding. A High Concept Document is basically a brief document about the objective of the project, ideas and the features to include. Then comes pitching where each group need to present their ideas of the high concept document. While storyboarding, is where we need to briefly sketch out, or note out the flow of the scenes, or how does the interface work around.
Each of the members are assigned with different task. My task is to produce the intro ,the main menu interface and dealing with designs. Since I’m the project leader as well, I need to make sure that everyone’s work are consistent so that every different scene done by seperated people can blend into each other smoothly.
Below is a shot of the interface, basically our interface is to show the menu and the left side, and the content on the wider column on the right.
User Interface
Then within the Show Room section, we have Color Selection, Gallery and Car Performance. The Color Selection allows the user to select different colors available of a particular car model, and preview how will it look like. Where else the Gallery section have the photos of the car’s interior and exterior.

We also have included the humanoid mobile robot produced by Honda, ASIMO information inside our project. Whenever the user hover the mouse on top of the highlighted point, it will display the ASIMO body part functions and information.
