Laptop Skinning

Need to add some personality on your laptop? Why don’t you skin it? I bought some skins from SkinMAN at LowYat.net forum, and I just got my package today. The designs are awesome, and there are over 500 designs to choose from. I even bought some for my friends as well.

In my case, I bought a red abstract art design, to match with my new red Dell Inspiron. The package is pretty straight forward, you’ll get a piece of skin, with guidelines behind so you can cut them out and fit according to your notebook size.

Using my pen knife, I cut out the measurement that I desired. Then slowly peeling it off and stick it on my laptop lid. All it needs now is patient. Slowly rub it on to stick it on the laptop lid, once in a while I need to pull it back up and stick it again to eliminate those air bubbles.

Done!
All set!

Once done, I get a laptop that looks unique in a way. Did I mention that this skin is removable and does not leave sticky stains? If you get bored with the design, you can just peel it off and put in another one. No mess, no fuss.

    hi there,

    nice skin!

btw, does the edge of the sticker peels off abit?

  6. Eu Hua says:

Nope, the sides doesn’t peel. Use blade or cutting knife for cutting instead of scissors, so you can have a clean cut.

i’m thinking of going to the shop myself with my laptop so they can do it for me. How long does it take to do it?

  10. Eu Hua says:

well, it takes some patient to actually cut the piece to fit your notebook. Then sticking it in is like 20 seconds, perfectly unless you want air bubbles you can go even faster. I would say 10 minutes.
