You know how those Korean drama series or movies with nice DVD covers? Normally with nice scenes as the background of the DVD Cover, for example Winter Sonata and Daddy-Long-Legs using winter scene as their background design. Well this is one of my favorites.

Ahem, it looks simple, nice scene without any fancy stuff going on in the background. Actually, there is no such movie in the screenshot that I have shown. I’m just pulling your leg, in fact the screenshot above is a DVD cover I’ve made out of my friend’s photo, in case you have not notice yet.

The picture shown above is the original photo. After some simple touch up, the colors of the looks sharp and ready for further editing. As you can see, the DVD cover has longer height than width, and I manage to cover most of area. However, there are some blank space on the top.

So, I took another photo(from Wei Liam’s blog photo), which show more area on the sky. Used that photo and try to blend in the sky as much as possible, to make it look seamless.

To make this cover looks real, and able to fool people, you got to throw in some Korean text and DVD Video logo. Thanks for the Korean translation to Wei Liam. (Seriously, I’m not sure if the title texts are correct, neither Wei Liam.)

To top it off, I also did a so-called 3D DVD box, just the fun of it.
