Disney On Ice
Went to this Disney On Ice, Princess Wishes on last 22nd March that is held at Bukit Jalil Stadium. Went with Shan and Pui Yee for the show. And in case you haven’t notice, I’m lousy with Disney’s fairy tale movies.
Was really hot that day, before the show you can see some children dress up in their favourite Disney’s princess costume. The organisers are selling Disney’s mechandise at whopping price, imagine the programme book cost RM25.
Anyway, presenting Tinker Bell to start the show. There’s even Mickey and Minnie greeting the audience, and some introduction before presenting the first princess story, one of my favourite movies, Aladdin.
Songs for the story, One Jump Ahead, A Friend Like Me, and of course A Whole New World.
Followed up is Snow White and Beauty and the Beast story. Frankly I think these two are a bit short in terms of duration, didn’t even get to see Belle with the Beast. Yea, where is the Beauty and the Beast song?
The Little Mermaid’s however is pretty long, covering quite a number of songs including the opening song of the Daughters of King Triton, Part of Your World, Under The Sea, Kiss The Girl.
Then there was Mulan’s story. Which kinda awkward for me, cause I don’t know any of the songs, perhaps they used the Mulan 2 songs. Well, I don’t like the direct-to-video sequels anyways, it breaks the classic story.
Followed by Sleeping Beauty, where the princess only lies down most of the time until the final scene. Well, the scene where the dragon comes out is impressive, they lit the skating stage on fire. Can’t get any decent pictures of that though, was too dark.
And then Cinderella’s story which starts at the ball.
The grand finale is where all the crew comes out forward, with Mickey, Minnie and all the princesses and princes. (Finally, get to see Beast here). To end the show, they even have some indoor fancy fireworks.
It’s the first time I have attend this kind of show, still I’m waiting for the Beauty and the Beast broadway that I’ve missed last year. Broadway, broadway please come!
