Day Out To Cyberjaya/Putrajaya
Been pretty moody over the weekends for sometime, normally just stay home and stare at the computer screen all the time. So decided to drag Wei Liam to catch up an event in MMU Cyberjaya, at the same time take some photos in Putrajaya at night, plus trying to cure the moody spirit.
There was this anime/manga event in MMU (Multimedia University), which they called Dai Con (which if I remember correctly, the same sound as radish in Japanese).
That event suppose to have Chihara Minori show up, a famous seiyuu/singer notable for her role in Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu as Nagato Yuki. But, I am too cheapskate to pay for the ticket for her “close-up” session. If you did not pay for any of the tickets, you are not expected to see her.
Oh well, I’m not that “otaku” enough, and was kinda disappointed with the whole event. Was expecting something very grand, but turns out to be very small scale and nothing much to see. Perhaps I am wrong, going on the wrong day at the wrong time (Saturday afternoon that is). Well, at least I get some shot of couple of cosplayers there. (Really need to work out on my inconsistent flash output though)
There’s one booth selling stuff, which I think is exclusively from Japan. Since people have to line up to buy stuff from there. Booth with lots of figurines from anime characters, and gundams.
If I remember correctly, there’s one or two booth with people playing Drum Hero, I think. Singing competition on the stage, which really makes my ears want to bleed. And some quirky cosplay sketch on stage.
Wasn’t really entertaining for me, maybe because I’m not “Otaku” (geekiness in anime/manga) enough.
Headed out to Dengkil for dinner with Wei Liam, Joo Li and Han Chin that evening, before going to Putrajaya.
Really need to work out more, my photos seems very very boring and dead that evening. Wasn’t really pleased when I rechecked them again that night when I got home. Perhaps the mood is not right? Or perhaps I just need to practice more.
