Christmas Eve Dinner

What time is it? Party time! Yesterday went for a Christmas Eve Dinner at my tutor, Stephen’s place with my other FYP team mates. Mr. Tho, Mr. Wong and Ms. Woo joins in too.

We arrived quite early, Stephen and wife, Ms. Anjoe are still preparing. But the first thing we saw, is the gigantic bird, a roasted turkey! It’s a first time for me to see a roasted bird that big :p. And so since they are still preparing the food, we played some video games while waiting.

So in the mean time, we just hang around and have some Ribena. I also managed to see something lovely, their wedding doll when I was looking around at the house deco.

Very cute wedding dolls, sweet

We also had some “real” cheese with biscuits when we were waiting. There was blue cheese (on top in picture below) and champagne cheese (bottom in picture below). I personally didn’t like the blue cheese, the taste is a bit weird for me.

Champagne cheese was good, in fact it taste like cheese cakes. We kind of freaked out when we heard how the blue cheese was made. Turned out that blue cheese was made, by putting in iron debris or some sort in side and let them rust, yes I mean real iron =.=”. Well, of course they need some skills to actually do not, not just simply put in irons. But then again, I don’t think I want to try that one again.

And not long enough, dinner is served. That’s when Mr. Wong came in with a box of cheese cake from Secret Recipe. Before we eat, let take some pictures. Looks delicious! :)

I made a funny statement when we have already ate a few bite. I said “shouldn’t we give our prayers before we eat?”. Then, Chu Hang goes “thank God for giving me to eat”. Ms. Anjoe was kind of “jat”(teasing) him, saying “hey, it’s two of us that bring you food, and you thank God for that instead of us?”. Funny :D.

We have some movies too, Shooter and another Hong Kong movie, C+ Detective(literally translated). The Hong Kong movie was a let down though, no idea what’s the story trying to tell, seems like a horror movie, but not horrifying at all. Except for the loud scream that Stephen gave, every now and then. Ms. Anjoe was giving him one kind of look, and told us “he always does that one I tell you”. That kind of reaction is priceless, we couldn’t resist but laugh.

And of course, we had some alcohol but not too much. Stephen was pouring one full glass for me (I think he did it on purpose), I was pretty distracted at that moment. Was kind of dizzy after a few drinks.

Well, this is the first time I celebrate Christmas with others. Way much better than the Christmas Eve I have on previous years, just work, work and work! Hope this lasts, and Merry Christmas!
