I Do Not Understand

Tuesday, June 12th, 2007

There’s been some delay on my industrial training work lately, having tons of questions waiting to be answered and the person in charge is having a holiday. I was like calling him in the middle of his vacation (he’s camping you know), and he’s in Sweden! First time learn to dial international call, hearing lots of echoes and the response delay was like around 4 seconds. So, what he suggested was to contact another person, supposely the job had passed to this person before he went for holiday.

Do Not Understand

Due date is near, and I still not finish with the animation modeling yet! So, after bombing some emails to the other person-in-charge, finally I got a reply, asking me to call his office in Switzerland. There goes another phone call. Read more…

My Training

Monday, April 9th, 2007

It’s been one week since I’m having my industrial training, and I’ve finally got my first major task today. For the past one week, I’ve been doing self exploration and learning on 3D Studio Max, and of course with some guidance from my colleague. You might wanna ask, what to do with 3D Studio Max anyway?

CS Mapping

Sunday, March 4th, 2007

Recently I have just started playing Counter-Strike again. Played a few games and started thinking, “hey, why not make a map?”. The last time I was active doing Counter-Strike and the original Half-Life game maps, was when I’m in my Form 2 and Form 3 years. Still remember that time, making a map is a real pain, because my old computer was not fast enough. Rendering/generating a map may requires an hour for just a small map back then.

The map creation software required, is called Valve Hammer Editor/Worldcraft. The tool is a freeware, so you can search and download it online. Before I actually begin creating a map, need to spend sometime configure the settings for the program once you installed it. Then, start going around the tools panel and create the map.

Site New Look

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

It’s been some time I didn’t blog. The main reason is because I’ve been redesigning the whole site again. The gallery section is still under renovation, as the old image uploaded I wrote is pretty much troublesome. Right now I need to figure out how to solve the plugin problem for uploading images that is giving me a big pain in the neck. Will get it done ASAP.

Besides that, I also need to reorganized the categories of the blog posts, as well as their corresponding images, for the sake of future convenience.

Short Story Presentation Work

Friday, November 24th, 2006

It’s been a long week preparing the stuff for the Short Story presentation. I and my team mates, Huay Meng and Ching Wei in a group of three, have to present the short story entitled “Trail of the Green Blazer” that is authored by R.K. Narayan.

We are required to present the story in any medium we like. Filming, drama, puppet show, anything that can actually get people’s attention. For our group, I’ve convinced my team members, to go on presenting our short story through drawings. And so, grabbing some papers and pen, started sketching out some characters.

Starting off is pretty tough, as I have to think how to create the characters’ looks and feel.
